Handset Developer
Duties/Responsibilities
Design and implement embedded applications software on mobile handsets. Work in an exciting startup environment with a highly motivated team to successfully take our innovative location-based services product through the entire development cycle.
Qualifications
- * Education
- Bachelors degree in computer or electrical engineering
- * Skills/Experience
- Five or more years of software engineering experience
- Required
- + In-depth experience developing RIM/Blackberry applications.
- + Experience integrating with Blackberry Enterprise Server.
- + Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- + Strong in Java and C/C++ object oriented programming, data structures & algorithms.
- + Strong in embedded real-time OS fundamentals
- + Experience in developing and debugging software on embedded platforms
- + Experience with networked mobile applications and protocols
- + Thorough understanding of software engineering methodology and processes
- Desired
- + Experience developing Symbian applications and an understanding of BREW, J2ME, Windows Mobile and Linux in a mobile handset environment.
- + Experience developing handset user interfaces
- + Experience developing web applications
- + Experience using Java on an embedded platform
- + Accredited Symbian Developer certification
- + Knowledge of XML, SIP, TCP/IP
- + Experience in developing Location Based Services on handheld devices.
- + Knowledge of wireless communications and GPS theory
- + Understanding of mobile applications certification and deployment
